28 years later: the bone temple spoilers!
tl;dr: in zombie-apocaylpse-ravaged britain, jimmy ink is one of the seven "fingers" of sir lord jimmy crystal, a psychotic cult leader. sir lord jimmy crystal and all of his fingers (all called jimmy) roam the british isles, committing acts of unspeakable violence on the command of "old nick", who speaks to sir lord jimmy crystal in his head. jimmy ink was his first follower. she is named because of her tattoos, including a bird on her throat and a number of stick-and-poke drawings on her arm, which she does herself.
content warning: jimmy ink was raised in a cult by a man with trauma-induced religious psychosis. she is very violent and completely desensitised to it, and has a completely busted view of reality as a result. also, addressing the elephant in the room: she is dressed like jimmy savile. considering the fact that the apocalypse happened in 2002 in this world, none of the jimmies know that savile was the monster he was in real life, and have simply modelled themselves off the image of a man jimmy crystal would have seen on TV when he was growing up. nevertheless, if this imagery makes you uncomfortable and you don't want me to tag you, please leave a comment on this post (comments are screened)! no hard feelings, i totally understand.
